OTIS Cafe Managers provide passionate, authentic leadership for our cafe service team, working in close collaboration with each individual to serve outstanding coffee drinks, cocktails, and provisions in a manner that leaves customers smiling and excited for their next visit. Of the many responsibilities this position holds, managing the cafe’s operational success while ensuring complete customer satisfaction is of the greatest importance.

* Equip and train the OTIS Cafe service team for delivering quality coffee beverages, cocktails, and culinary offerings in a style that is both inviting and friendly

* Possess an in depth knowledge of OTIS standards, products, and policies

* Build deep & rich community relationships and promote OTIS in the Lafayette and East BoCo neighborhoods

* Develop a supportive and positive team culture that draws its inspiration from OTIS’ mission and values

* Provide regular feedback to all employees and conduct regular performance reviews

* Work closely with the cafe service team to expand each individual’s skill set in ways that support their personal growth as well as the overall improvement of the entire team and its performance

* Creatively and energetically drive top line revenues and support key marketing initiatives while proactively improving the bottom line through intelligent cost controls and operational efficiencies

* Partner with OTIS ownership team to develop a comprehensive strategy for meeting and/or exceeding the cafe’s top and bottom line financial goals

* Create weekly staffing schedule

* Proactively maintain optimal staffing levels

* Maintain cafe equipment and schedule for regular maintenance

* Keep front and back of house immaculately organized and clean all of the time

* Perform quarterly inventory accounting report out


* A strong knowledge of, background in, and experience with coffee preparation, bar management, and hospitality service

* A positive attitude that is both felt & seen by our customers & all members of the OTIS team

* The ability to lead successfully and communicate clearly, honestly, and promptly

* Previous P&L and management experience required

* Able to use all available resources to adequately answer questions and solve problems

* Calm and level-headed demeanor, even when things are busy

* A flexible schedule and available to work weekends
